Prague castle - The castle was probably founded around 880 by Prince Bořivoj of the Přemyslid family. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Prague Castle is the largest contiguous castle complex in the world, covering an area of approximately 70,000 m2, and it is also registered as a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage site. It currently serves as the seat of the presidency of the country.

Theatres - Culture
- The National Theatre is the representation stage of the Czech Republic. It is one of the symbols of national identity and a part of the European cultural scene, carrying on the work of the country’s cultural heritage as well as providing space for free artistic creation. The National Theatre was opened on June 18, 1881.

- The State Opera – housed in the same building where Wagner’s opera Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg opened on January 5, 1888, as part of the German cultural scene in Prague. In the 19th century Prague’s German community alternated performances at the Estates Theater with a Czech company. The desire for their own theater led to negotiations in 1883 to build a new theatre for the German Theatre Association.

- Laterna magika - The history of Laterna Magica begins in 1958 when director Alfred Radok and set designer Josef Svoboda created a performance for the Czechoslovakian pavilion at the World Expo in Brussels, Belgium, called Laterna Magica. After its immense success in Brussels, the performance was moved to a theatre in Prague (the restored Adria cinema on National Boulevard), which adopted its name.
